Let’s Introduce Ourselves

Hello world! Hands on KeyboardI’m here to help you write and keep writing! I love reading books as much as I love writing them so I decided to start my blog with the hopes to attract more writers like me. I wanted a happy place filled with great writing tips and tricks to keep us writers going. I love stories, how they come together and watching the words fall into place is fascinating to me, hence this blog. A blog to build a writing community where we help each other write the best stories in the known universe!

A little about me, I’m a total geek and yes, that will come out in my blogging. I love hiking, reading, and writing but most of all I love my husband (the model for the hands on the keyboard) whose been supportive through my insane lifestyle as a writer. I have a history in both film and writing so those worlds collide for me when making stories. I’m a lover of the arts and feel that many of them go hand in hand in the world of creativity and yes different art forms will also be included in the blog as writing tools. I have a strange obsession with Futurama and Supernatural…seriously, I can’t get enough of those shows!

Now for the awesome qualifications! You could be thinking “Why should I read this blog?” or “What makes you so qualified to help out writers?” or “Why am I reading this? I already know this blog is going to be amazing and don’t need to worry about the qualifications.” Either way here they are: I have a Master’s degree in psychology, which is great for getting into both character and writer minds. I am a published author, under a different pen name, with two stories published through traditional publishing. I am also working on my first self-published work, hopefully followed by some awesome non-fiction “how-to” write books. I’m an avid reader of fiction, non-fiction, blog posts, and bumper stickers. Hopefully this is enough for you to think my blog will be super awesome. I know I’m excited!

Please comment on my posts and don’t be afraid to share them or my site on your own blogs or social media sites. Share the love! Please don’t be afraid to introduce yourself below and let’s start in a world of writing and let the blogging begin!

I hope you have as much fun reading my blog as I’m having writing it! So let’s start to write and keep writing!

I can’t wait to explore the writing blog world.

  3. Your juxtaposition of those two shows just gave me an idea: Futurnatural.

I have no idea how it’d work, but dear god I love Supernatural. I’m a happy heterosexual man, but I’m not sure I could stay that way long if Jensen Ackles came over.

    Moving on.

Based on your post here, I would have to agree, you’ve got something awesome going on here and I’m excited to read more! You’ve got a great voice and there’s nothing better than having someone you can relate to when you’re mired in the crazy confusing world of writing.

So thanks for sharing and inspiring!

I love the idea of Futurnatural! Fry and Leela on ghost hunts in space. 🙂

I also love Jensen Ackles and I’m pretty sure my husband would leave me if he knocked on the door for him.

I’m also really glad you like my voice, I want it to be personal and fun like writing is for me.
